Discipleship

Why?

Discipleship is a foundational piece in developing God's kingdom. Christ has commanded us to make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit.

How?

Christ gave us clear instruction on what to do when we make disciples. That is to teach them to obey all the commands He has given to us.

What do we do?

In order to teach Christs commands, someone who disciples must not just simply learn what Christs commands are, but one must learn how to obey them. This is the most involved process in discipleship. It is very simple to tell someone what Christ teaches, so naturally the difficulty comes from the obedience step. Discipleship involves showing someone what it means to walk dutifully and obediently as a follower of Christ.

At AGOC we partner with those who will disciple, and those who seek discipling. We guide the discipler, teaching and training them methods and theology that are beneficial to effectively guide someone in the faith. We guide those who seek discipleship, setting them up with individuals willing to faithfully love and lead.
